Only three more days until I embark on the trip that I know will
change my life and lives around me. I was able to distract myself from
the reality with little things, such as courage to get shots and raising
money and stressing over details. Now, all that is left is the waiting
game. My bag is packed and I have been attempting to spend time in the
Father everyday. I feel like I’ve been preparing for this my whole life,
considering I’ve been watching Bollywood movies with a friend and her
middle-eastern family since seventh grade. I already love the culture,
so I am excited to go and love the people. I get questions about why I
need to go to another country and serve the people there when there are
people here that need help. I would never deny the need in America, but
as a few of my family members can tell you, I’ve always had a heart for
the world. One of my very favorite verses in the word is from Is@aiah 6:
8, “The voice of the father called out: whom shall I send, who will go
for us? Then I said, HERE AM I, SEND ME.” That is the cry of my heart,
send ME father, to do your will. I have been waiting for this
opportunity for so long and I’ve finally gotten an opportunity to accept
his commission. I’ve counted the cost, and as Paul said, “To live is
Chr!st and to die is gain” (Ph!lippians 1:2!) No matter what happens,
even if we are completely safe I know that I am willing to serve the
father. I want my heart to open to the children and learn to trust my
team as a family and ultimately, spend my summer bringing glory to the
one who gave me life. Pr@yer requests would be team unity and open
hearts and mind to hear the voice of the father calling us. I know that
we are all about to embark on real adventure.
Bless!ngs!
